LOS ANGELES - Volkswagen VW Beetle finally launched the first R which will exhibited at the Los Angeles Motor Show 2011.
Previously, Beetle R introduced the concept version, and exhibited at the Frankfurt Auto Show some time ago. German manufacturer also carries Beetle R to Los Angeles Motor Show 2011.
However, it is not known whether the Beetle R exhibited at the LA Motor Show 2011 is the production version or still in draft form.
Design Beetle R is surprising not to leave the classical form. first-generation Beetle design was adopted. However, Beetle R has more power.
Beetle R adopts the same transmission with the Golf and Scirroco Rs, with front-wheel drive. However, Beetle R capable of producing more than 265bhp, and acceleration 0-60 mph (100km/jam) in under six seconds
Volkswagen Beetle R using a 1.8-liter gasoline engine and 2.0-liter TSI and the choice of four-cylinder diesel engine.
