
SHENZHEN, China carmaker BYD Company began selling mass-e6 electric car in China, a few days ago. This sedan is able to explore up to 300 miles once the battery and priced at 369,800 yuan or Rp515, 2 million per unit. Shenzhen City is a prime uncultivated island south of China which is the hometown of BYD.
Interestingly, according to Li Ganming, Deputy Director of the National Development and Reform Commission's Shenzhen, Shenzhen consumers will enjoy direct subsidies which the government put up by 120,000 yuan (Rp167, 1 million) deducted from the selling price. "2011, the central government issued a direct subsidy discounts nationwide and 60,000 yuan in Shenzhen incentives were multiplied by two," added Su Bo, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry, as reported by Bloomberg.
